The Carriage House

I have been working on a semester-long project, providing business consulting for a local non-profit organization called The Carriage House in Boulder, Colorado. I have been a weekly volunteer for The Carriage House since July of last year, so it has been exciting to have such a great opportunity to help this wonderful group of people. I have had the opportunity to hear many different peoples' stories and help others along the way. I created this video to increase awareness of The Carriage House.

To Come

I know it has been quite a while since I have posted anything significant on this blog (not that a ton of people read it anyways), but I am looking forward to getting back on and sharing what has been occurring these past few weeks. The past month has had its share of ups and downs, but God has continued to stay faithful through it all. The future has been becoming even more exciting for me as I've been watching Him move in so many ways. Unfortunately, this will probably be the only new blog entry I will write until after I graduate in a couple of weeks due to final projects, exams, work, and whatever else has been consuming my schedule. The Practice of the Presence of God

Over the past several weeks I have been exposed to many endearing notions of the Love and Grace of God. This past Saturday, I helped to lead worship for an all-day conference at a local church in which the speakers spoke of the beauty and the continual Grace of our Father. One speaker explained that "grace is opposed to earning, but it is not opposed to effort". In other words, we cannot "earn" our faith or the redemption that comes along with grace. It is only by the Love of our Father that we can be made brand new. We are nothing without Him. We were all given a few books to help us in further understanding what it means to live with an understanding of God's Grace, one of which was The Practice of the Presence of God , by brother Lawrence.
